Crooked teeth (malocclusion) are the result of the jaws growing incorrectly and this also affects the shape of the face - usually for the worse.

Orthotropics, or facial orthopedics, looks for the cause of this adverse growth at a very early age.  Often we can recognize patterns of growth and development of the jaws and face at ages of 4-8 years old.  Treatment can be done by either a general dentists or by Orthodontists.

It is very important for parents to start having regular dental evaluations as early as 3 years old.
